In this section we have compiled a list of the most asked
questions concerning recruitment. We hope you will find the
answers to all your queries, if not do not hesitate to contact us
and we will get back to you.
- What does "liven up" mean?
To liven up something is to give life to something. When we ask
our camp coordinators to liven up their workshops or their
games, what we are really asking, is for them to lead while
committing to their character. This helps the kids embrace the
imaginary to have as much fun as possible (while being safe!),
and feel supported in their efforts to speak English.
The idea is to create a special atmosphere around the game,
giving all the children the desire to participate. A livened up
game is one where every child is able to have some input, and
none of them check their watch! To make this possible, you will
build a story around the activity, you will dress up, you will
decorate the place…
For example: If you plan an
activity ‘investigation of crime”. You will have to
create a story: who has been killed, why, who is the murderer,
when did it happen, where...Each coordinator will play a
character and the kids will be the officers in charge of the
investigation.
Your imagination and your creativity
will be your best assets for this part of the job! (Don’t
worry: the French coordinators have experience in this, and they
will be able to help you with this concept at any time.)
Furthermore, we have thorough support material to help you plan
your activities. So long as you are inspired, imaginative and
crafty, it will be a piece of cake!
